I'm Monica Echevarria, a proud Latina from Puerto Rico. My roots and cultural heritage are a source of immense pride, shaping my values and identity. My cultural upbringing has instilled in me a strong sense of empathy and an understanding of the unique challenges individuals from various backgrounds may face. This cultural awareness and sensitivity enable me to connect authentically with diverse populations and provide culturally responsive care in my social work practice.
As a first-generation college graduate, I discovered my passion for social work. In my journey, I've come to understand the immense strength and potential that lies within each individual. My purpose is to empower others, to help them overcome obstacles, and to unleash their full potential. I'm guided by the belief that everyone, regardless of their background or past, has inherent worth and deserves the chance to thrive.
I am proud to be a licensed clinical social worker, holding credentials in both the State of Connecticut and Florida. As I continue my professional journey, I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Social Work. My commitment to furthering my education stems from a deep desire to continually enhance my skills and knowledge, ultimately becoming a more effective and impactful social worker.
