I am a proud Latina from Puerto Rico. My roots and cultural heritage are a source of immense pride, shaping my values and identity. My cultural upbringing has instilled in me a strong sense of empathy and an understanding of the unique challenges individuals from various backgrounds may face. This cultural awareness and sensitivity enable me to connect authentically with diverse populations and provide culturally responsive care in my social work practice.
As a first-generation college graduate, I discovered my passion for social work, recognizing the inherent strength and potential within each individual. Through psychotherapy services, clinical supervision, professional development training, and immigration psychosocial evaluations, my goal is to empower others to overcome obstacles and unleash their full potential. Guided by the belief that everyone, regardless of their background or past, possesses inherent worth and deserves the opportunity to thrive, I am dedicated to collaborating with others, advocating for social justice issues, and demonstrating leadership as a testament to my commitment to the field of social work. I am passionate about educating the next generation of social workers, integrating real-world experience and academic knowledge to prepare students for effective and compassionate careers in social work practice.
I am proud to hold credentials as a licensed clinical social worker in both the State of Connecticut and Florida. In the course of my professional journey, I have earned my Doctorate in Social Work from Simmons University, Boston, Massachusetts. This accomplishment reflects my unwavering commitment to advancing my education and skillset, aiming to be a more effective and impactful social worker in my practice.
